Nikky Smedley has spent 16 years as Artistic Director of her own company, delivering a unique brand of intricate, eccentric choreography mixed with visual spectacle, experimental writing, song, humour and aerial work. Touring successfully throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East, she is the winner of two Digital Dance Awards and a Bonnie Bird New Choreography Award.

She works freelance as children's movement specialist, choreographer and producer / director for Ragdoll Productions with credits for "Teletubbies", "In the Night Garden", and "Boohbah", for which she was nominated for a children's BAFTA as part of Ragdoll's creative team.

In addition, Nikky has performed on stage and screen for many other established choreographers, and in front of an audience of 2 million as part of the French Bicentennial celebrations. Her choreographic work has extended to video, circus, commercials, musical theatre and fashion shows, and covered casts of all abilities from professional dancers to those with no dance experience whatsoever....and she always produces the goods.

Nikky currently works internationally as an independent dance artist.
