Matthew generally spends his time making music or writing computer programs to make music for him. Matthew has made a piece of computer software called i am the mighty jungulator, which has won a few awards and has been described by Future Music Magazine as 'The Sonic Philosopher's Stone'.

Matthew and his computer have made music for Wildlife on One, were awarded the Diesel-U-Music Award 2004, played at the Tate, performed for the Mayor of Bordeux and presented work to the Norwegian Royal family.
